LIVE FROM THE
DOGHOUSE
Live From the Doghouse is Alicia Stockman’s 2025 acoustic EP, recorded live at The Doghouse Studio in Nashville, TN. This 5-song collection captures the raw energy and authenticity of live performance, where every take is a high-wire act—imperfect, honest, and full of life. Featuring guest appearances by Sav Madigan, (auxiliary player for Lainey Wilson) the EP highlights lyric-driven storytelling and intimate compositions, with stripped-down production that lets the music shine.
LIVE FROM THE STUDIO
Dust to Settle
Inspired by a long drive through New Mexico, this song reflects the beauty, mystery, and unpredictability of the desert. Like the billboard that inspired it—“Wait for the dust to settle”—it’s both a PSA for desert travelers and a reminder to navigate life’s challenges with patience.
Halfway to Houston
A favorite from my first record, These Four Walls, this song has always resonated with listeners. It felt right to revisit it with an acoustic version that brings out the emotion and story at its heart.
I’m Movin’ On
I wrote this song with Tirzah Joy in Nashville. I was fresh out of a breakup, and Tirzah was navigating her own journey. While we took the breakup song route, the real message we both needed was about self-worth and knowing when it’s time to move on.
Lonely Together
Originally featured on These Four Walls and co-written with Daniel Neihoff, this song is all about the subtle art of introverted flirting. A fresh take on a favorite, the acoustic version slows down and takes its time.

Driving hard for seven days
A few more miles of interstate
To Truth or Consequences
Horizon playing tricks on me
Is it clear or do I see
Something stirring in the distance
It’s been behind me since I left
Now it’s dead aheadIt’s hard to tell when a storm’s a brewin’
How long it’ll last which way it’s movin’
Fight the urge to slam it down
Til the floor meets the pedal
There’s nothing wrong with
Waiting for the dust to settleBlue sky turns to rust
Swallowed by a cloud of dust
Reluctant to pull over
I knew when I got off I-10
The desert might have other plans
Now I’m shackled to the shoulder
I was found but now I’m lost
I guess I’ll stay here til I’m notIt’s hard to tell when a storm’s a brewin’
How long it’ll last which way it’s movin’
Fight the urge to slam it down
Til the floor meets the pedal
There’s nothing wrong with
Waiting for the dust to settleThe highway is a fickle friend
The weather turns at every bend
I could have just stayed home
Wait it out to see it through
Nothing left to proveIt’s hard to tell when a storm’s a brewin’
How long it’ll last which way it’s movin’
Fight the urge to slam it down
Til the floor meets the pedal
There’s nothing wrong with
Waiting for the dust to settle -
I was up before the sun that morning
Tip toeing on eggshells and packing up my car
The key was on the counter when I locked the door behind me
So I wouldn’t have the chance to change my mindAnd I was halfway to Houston
By the time that he woke up
Did he wonder was I coming back
Or was he glad to see me gone
I was trying not to turn that car around
I was halfway to Houston
When I broke downI guess you could say that nothing happened
That’s not the same as saying nothing was wrong
How could we not notice a tender touch turned cold
It takes time to build a callous thick enoughI was halfway to Houston
By the time that he woke up
Did he wonder was I coming back
Or was he glad to see me gone
I was trying not to turn that car around
I was halfway to Houston
When I broke downFor the first time in a long time
I had the chance to ask myself just what I needed
The interstate gave me space to see it
Every mile hurt a little lessI was halfway to Houston
By the time that he woke up
Did he wonder was I coming back
Or was he glad to see me gone
I knew there was no turnin’ around
I was halfway to Houston
Halfway to Houston
Halfway to Houston
When I broke down -
You’re getting what you want
But I ain’t got what I need
While I don’t know what that is right now
I know it’s not you for meI’m not feeling too good right now
About what’s been left unsaid
Tight-lipped holding back if that’s
As good as this getsI’m done holding my breath
No more wasting my time
I’m done putting my heart last
In the back of your line
I got this feeling
That won’t be ignored
I know what I’m worth and I know what I’m looking for
I’m movin’ onAll I ever wanted
Was to go somewhere with you
But you’ve been slamming down on the brakes
When I push you pull awayI’ve been holding onto false hopes
A little too tightly
Suffocating myself
Waiting for your love to revive meI’m done holding my breath
No more wasting my time
I’m done putting my heart last
In the back of your line
I got this feeling
That won’t be ignored
I know what I’m worth and I know what I’m looking forFor a reason that would make me want to stay
A reason I could give my love away
I’ve waited long enoughI’m done holding my breath
No more wasting my time
I’m done putting my heart last
In the back of your line
I got this feeling
That won’t be ignored
I know what I’m worth and I know what I’m looking
I’m movin’ on -
I see you in the self-checkout line
With your basket of groceries for one
More produce than anybody needs
When there’s no one to cook for at homeThen there’s me, another TV dinner
And a four-pack of canned champagne
Just a couple single people
With a whole lotta evening to wasteThere’s no sense in being all by ourselves
We both need the company
and we ain’t doing nothing else
Now feels like as good a time as ever
Let’s be lonely togetherWe can watch bad rom-com movies
And criticize the sappiest parts
From our station on the sofa
We’ll be a nation of two lonesome heartsThere’s no sense in being all by ourselves
We both need the company
and we ain’t doing nothing else
Now feels like as good a time as ever
Let’s be lonely togetherDon’t make me spend
Another Friday night
All alone without someone to hold
I’m telling you, All this solitude
Oh it’s sure it’s sure gettin’ oldThere’s no sense in being all by ourselves
We both need the company
and we ain’t doing nothing else
Now feels like as good a time as ever
Let’s be lonely
Let’s be lonely
Let’s be lonely together -
The moon so loved the mountain
She laid silver kisses on his shoulders
Though the mountain hungered to hold her
Her song fed his soulThe mountain studied the curves of her face
For when storm clouds and thunder intruded
Gravity tethered and rooted
Their long distance heartsOooh
There are some things that time doesn’t touch
When forever is barely enough mmmmThe mountain loved to surprise her
With bouquets of rose-colored evenings
She would rise as the sun was just leaving
To fall once againBy day their longing grew painful
At night their passion was reckless
Til the sea and the stars became jealous
Of their endless romanceIn phases of darkness
In low tides and high
When the world comes between them
Their devotion doesn’t ask whyOooh
There are some things that time doesn’t touch
When forever is barely enough
When forever is barely enough
Barely enough
